The outline of the Stock Data Search

Basic financial information and stock data for all listed companies on Tokyo Stock Exchange are provided through the stock data search. Furthermore, the My Portfolio function provided through this site allows you to track a list of stocks of your choosing

Data searches can be conducted by company name or stock code. Also, you can sort a list of matching securities by industry, section and code.

Stock quotes are delayed at least 15 minutes during market hours. Quote data is updated continuously while the stock markets are open.

Tokyo Stock Exchange's market is open from 9:00 am (GMT+9) to 11:30 am and from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, except on holidays.

You must enter a company name or stock code to get a quote for a stock. In the event that you do not know the company name or stock code for a stock you wish to look up, you can access quotes for all stocks, or stocks in a particular section on TSE, sorted by industry, section or stock code (up to 100 stocks appear on the page at one time). From there you may select a company from the list provided and access information on that company by clicking its name.

If JavaScript is turned off, you will not be able to search, so please enable it before using the site.

Creating a portfolio is fast, easy, and free.

In the "Quotes" page of My Portfolio you can get information on the stocks you have registered in your portfolio.

You can use this page to edit your portfolio by entering the cost and volume of each stock. After entering cost and volume data, click "Confirm Edit" to edit your portfolio. 'My Portfolio' allows you to register up to 30 stocks.

Quotes

You can see quotes for up to 30 stocks at one time (30 is the maximum number of stocks that you can keep track of in My Portfolio).

By clicking a company name you will be taken to the individual information page for that company.

If you type the code or the first few letters of the name of a company in the stock data search box, a list of possible matching companies will be brought up.

The "Advanced Search" button leads you to a page where you can search for companies by Section, Industry or Code.

Estimated Profit or Loss

Estimated profit or loss is calculated on your registered stocks in My Portfolio by using cost per share and recent price data, which is delayed by at least 15 minutes.

In the short summary of "Estimated Value", profit or loss and profit or loss ratio are calculated automatically.

You must enter cost and volume data for each stock in the edit page in order for those stocks to be reflected in your portfolio. If you do not enter this data, only price and time is shown in the Estimated Profit or Loss page.

Edit Portfolio

The Edit Portfolio page allows you to edit the price at purchase and amount purchased of individual stocks in your portfolio.

Click "Confirm Edit" to save any changes to your portfolio.

If you know the codes of listed companies you wish to register, you can register more than one stock at a time into your portfolio in the Edit Portfolio page.

Cost per share should be entered in Japanese yen (it is not necessary to enter the yen sign), and Volume should be entered in number of shares.

As stock splits and capital reductions are not revised automatically in My Portfolio, you must amend your portfolio manually to accurately reflect any changes that have been made to a stock.
